I'm not sure what you mean by theme, as it's a renowned holiday that has existed for a long time. Unless you mean why I chose to draw it, well, I enjoy the art and makeup of the Day of the Dead holiday, and so I decided to paint it

Yep, that's what I meant, why you chose to draw it. I know about it as a holiday, my family celebrates it, but I guess I referred to it as a theme because that's the college art class in me, where we would address "themes" or "aesthetics" of artwork we'd look at. Sorry for the mix up. How long have you been drawing? I'm asking cause I saw that you said you're around 18 or something, and I gotta say, you're extremely talented. I wish I had your skills, I've enjoyed looking at all your pieces.

Thanks, well, initially I didn't want the hand in there. But I decided to add it in, and for the perfect reference, I took a photo of my own hand with the same lighting conditions. I wouldn't have been able to draw it otherwise
