I love Garchomp; it's a Dragon, Shark, Jet Plane. Obviously I didn't make it look like a jet plane here, nor did I go all out with the shark aspects. I also when with pterosaur anatomy for the wings/fins.Related content

Garchomp is SO amazing! I love him, too. However, this is probably the first-ever time I've seen him realistic. Anyway, I USED to like Charizard, but ever since I've seen his Mega Evolution when he's Charizard X, I instantly hated him, because now his black and blue colors match that of Alain's. I was SO ANGRY when I found this out when I watched the XYZ series on Cartoon Network. Anyway, when I got Pokken Tournament, I tried out Suicune and Charizard. I liked them both, but I didn't really enjoy using Charizard because he kept losing health each time you used his fire attacks, like Flare Blitz and Fire Punch, including another Fire-type move that he uses that makes him lose precious health. Instead I chose Garchomp and I instantly fell in love with him the moment I tested him out, making him my official partner PokΓ©mon. Anyway, I really don't enjoy the female version of Garchomp, the one that Cynthia has, because to me, that just tells me that the creators love female Garchomps more than the males and I only saw one male when Alain was fighting against Remos in the Lily of the Valley conference. Anyway, ever since I've used this pseudo-legendary, this PokΓ©mon has been my main powerhouse ever since in Pokken Tournament. I've destroyed everyone in the game, including the people who helped me power up the Synergy Stone, Shadow Mewtwo, the League Masters, the Grand Master and Champion. I had Pokken Tournament for Wii U but I'm very happy that Garchomp returns for Pokken Tournament DX for Switch, because now I can use him again to beat down my opponents!Β
PS: I am SO MAD that Garchomp's not in Sword and Shield and that sixty-percent of the PokΓ©mon got cut for the game. The only one staying in the game is Charizard, which I'm not too happy about. I almost wanted to cry when I found out that my favorite Land Shark PokΓ©mon wasn't going to be in the game. I knew there was a good reason for me to not get the game and just go with Pokken Tournament DX. I also heard that when they make the next PokΓ©mon game, the old PokΓ©mon aren't even going to be featured in it.Β

I'm very glad to hear that. I've adored Garchomp ever since I saw the female version of Cynthia's for Diamond and Pearl and I've loved the Shark PokΓ©mon ever since, mainly the male one. However, ever since I saw the male one in Pokken Tournament, he's been my official main PokΓ©mon Fighting Partner ever since, especially in the enhanced sequel for the Switch. I chose him over Charizard and Suicune instantly as soon as I got used to him in the Ferrum Dojo during Free Practice instead of the tutorials, because I wanted to learn how to use the ferocious Land Shark PokΓ©mon on my own WITHOUT Nia giving me instructions. I remember I lost my first-ever defeat in the Chroma League in the Wii U version but in the Switch version, I was able to learn from my mistakes and even improve on my skills, including coming up with strategies without me even thinking about them which made me win the entire League and become the Grand Master, which is actually a first for me considering how I suffered my loss in the Wii U version. But yeah, Garchomp has pushed me through all of the Leagues in DX for the Switch this year and I've beaten the crap out of everyone in them, including the Grand Master, Champions and League Masters. I also had a male Garchomp in PokΓ©mon Y, too, showing my love for the male species than the female version. Heck, I even have my tagline called Face Off Against My Garchomp and Garchomp Enthusiast and I even have my avatar wearing an antique outfit in blue and gold with blue butterfly glasses, a blue antique outfit with gold gears on it, a blue lei and even a painted red hibiscus flower, to show my deep love for the Land Shark PokΓ©mon.
PS: When I saw Garchomp in the Pokken Tournament trailer for his introduction and in the intro when I first had the Wii U and the game, I knew he'd be the perfect partner for me already, so it's no wonder I chose him for the sequel when I learned that he was returning in the game's sequel with the rest of the PokΓ©mon. You can imagine how happy I was when I found that out!

this is so beautiful! when you compare it to the original childish design in the corner, a big difference is definitely seen. that's why i prefer most pokemon in fanart and not the original cuz the later is just dumb!

Thanks. I disagree about the original art. It's what gives PokΓ©mon their charm and allows a lot of freedom when interpreting them realistically (or in other styles for that matter). They've never been childish or dumb to me and many of the designs are quite thought out. That's just my opinion though

Even though the combination of shark and dragon should've been pretty appealing to me, I just can't accept Garchomp's existence due to it's first form being a Sharpedo with legs. Nothing wrong with Sharpedo, just started feeling like the developers are running out of ideas.
Very nice piece, if it had looked exactly like this in-game, I probably would've liked it better.

Well, agree to disagree, because I think Garchomp's design is one of my favourite of all generations and really redeemed the disappointments found in Gen 4. It's a shark, dragon, jet; what's not to love?
