This was a fun one to make. I decided to use one of the crappier photos that I had taken recently from a walk along the river.

It was blurred already, (Which was why I didn't upload it with all the other ones you can find in my gallery), and then I artificially aged the photo to make it look faded and discoloured as if it had been taken in the seventies. I also added some stain and grit using a texture from The Mayang Texture Library .

Then I spent a while trying out a new-fangled graphical style that all the kids are using, in the form of the organic cg forms you see in the bottom left corner, (My sister calls them "Swirlies"). All the swirlies you see were made by myself in Illustrator, and then pasted into Photoshop.

I finished it off with some large stylized fingers of light in the background, and there you have it. Hooray!
