Azumanga Daioh inspired. I was reading the Azumanga Daioh omnibus collection when I stumbled upon Sakaki-san in her PE uniform holding a baton. It was a nice, casual pose and I figured I would draw something like that using Natsume. This was the turnout.Art and character by Michael Wright (c).
Azumanga Daioh (the manga and animation) are coprights of Kiyohiko Azuma.

I guess Natsume does look a little similar to Sakaki-san. Someone even made a mistake of adding this to their "Sakaki-Azumanga collection". In a way it's kinda embarrassing and upsetting, because Natsume is nothing like Sakaki (even though they DO look similar).
I just want Natsume to be recognized as Natsume, not as Sakaki.

I think it's just this drawing in particular, because of the outfit. A lot of your other drawings of Natsume look more original.
