  Masakage comes off as rather strict and serious to most yokai he meets, he hasn't had much interactions with humans save for watching them pass through the woods in his area and following them closely, observing their every movement. If he were to serve under someone, he'd follow their instruction to the dot, no matter the difficulty, which makes it a problem as he may get severely injured, like his arm getting hacked off, he'd say "It's fine." Or when he's sick, he'd just suck it up and not tell anyone.
He trusts his instincts, or his gut feeling rather a lot. Since it got him through a lot. But that may not always be the case.
  Despite his somewhat intimidating appearance, he does genuinely care for people who he sees as important, even though it may come out as one-sided.
  When he's not doing any work or orders, he's usually just resting on the sidelines watching people go by.

History:
   His father killed for food and looted whatever valuables he got from his victims to support Masakage alone since his mother died during childbirth plus he found it a bit more convenient than going to shops, since they lived far in the forest. But they only killed injured and hopelessly lost humans, which was rare. They'd usually hunt smaller animals here and there.

Masa just followed his father's footsteps in the killing, thinking that he should stick with what he would do. Masa was the type to just listen to what he's told to the dot. So he'd kill for food if his father told him to.

Masa's dad eventually passed away too, and he was left on his own. So it came down to two choices, Masa would continue living the way his family lived isolated in the forest or he could go on his own and leave, since there's nothing left to do since he was on his own.

So he eventually went with the latter , slowly making his way out. At this point, he was pretty hungry and he only had the clothes on his back and didn't bring anything else since he thought he could live off the land until he made his way to the nearest rest stop. He eventually ran into the samurai, which was a matter of wrong place wrong time for him (the samurai).

     Masa won in the end (and won his scar), somehow using whatever little strength he had left and ate the samurai before continuing on his way out of the forest.
  But as he continued, Masa contemplated on the fighting skills of the samurai he ate earlier and wanted to learn it too, at least he would have something to do now and eventually be productive as well.
     So he finally made his way out of the forest and found the samurai hq and somehow got himself in to train to become one.

Extra information:
-He may take things a bit too literally and seriously
-His battle style is rather brutal
-His scar came from a samurai that he killed back then.
-He's an akward potato when it comes to socializing. He may come off as too serious. He tries to socialize though.
-He's only tactless when in a fight.
-If u tell him a joke he wont get it until u explain it to him
