Yay, Sam and Dean brotherly moment from SPN 7x02!!
So, I didn't do any illustrations for 7x03, but this was stuck in my head for days and so I just put it down on paper...so you have this!!
And sorry for the SPN spam, damn it...In 7x03 there were some things that disappointed me...well...actually, ONE thing that disappointed me, and that was Dean killing the Kitsune!! I think it was kinda out of character, I mean, Dean dealt with his "I will kill everything despite its possible good intentions" attitude back in Season 2 after beating the s**t out of Gordon!!
And I'll tell you: I totally love Sam as well, but it feels like they're making Dean the "bad bro", the one who doesn't trust him, the one that does mean things (like killing the Kitsune while he promised Sam he wouldn't do it...COME ON!!)...
BUT that's just my opinion on the episode, maybe I'm just used to seeing Dean as the one with the big heart despite his bad attitude (best Dean ever was in Season 3 and 4!!) and I'm not feeling comfortable at all with the development he's having now. The "heartless" hunter type feels wrong to me after all he has done in the previous seasons.
But it's always something you wouldn't expect for Dean, so I still find it interesting and want to know what happens next! Still hoping he will have his "space" again, after all these episodes dealing with Sam and his flashbacks and everything.
Seasons 3 and 4 were like... focusing on Dean's point of view and he developed a lot as character...so now they're probably doing something similar with Sam, which is totally ok, but I want some Dean again!! xP
Anyway don't get me wrong, I'm loving the new season so far and I wanna see what happens next
promo for the new ep looks great, and it seems like it will be focused on Dean. DON'T MESS WITH IT, WRITERS!!!PS: I totally wanna see if the little boy actually comes back!!!

Epiccc scene! And I agree, Dean is supposed to be the good brother, deep down. But it's so sad the trust issues he had with Sam after season 4

At least I hope that its resolving is worth the waiting, I mean, when in Season 6 Cass became "God" we waited a whole summer to see how it would have ended and they dealt with it so quickly!
Now I kinda wish for Dean to have epic hard times for a while! >: D wanna see some epicness!

Even the way the solved it sounded kinda strange. It still felt out of character :/
But on the other hand, they're both such complicated characters that it's even possible, like real people, that their development doesn't just go "straight"; sometimes it's even possible for them to come back and re-do old mistakes again. That's the only way I justify what happened!

I would have been more surprised if Dean had allowed Amy to live. To me she was a different case than Leonore. Leonore and her vamp clan weaned themselves off human blood. She didn't attack Sam when she had the chance. Amy was a very sympathetic character, but even tho she was using glands from cadavers and killing criminals she was still using humans. And when Dean told her that the shoe was going to drop someday, I really got the impression he was talking about himself as well. He'd kill for Sam in a heartbeat, he's done it, and the fact that Amy was doing it for her son probably convinced Dean she'd kill again.

Well...the thing was probably not the fact itself that he killed Amy, and in that case I can totally see the reasons why he did it, the ones you mentioned.
Probably what really got me it's the fact that he deliberately promised Sam that he would not kill her, and he did. Just the broken promise itself.
But anyway, I still support Dean (he's my favorite character after all! XD) and I'm sure this will lead to further character development...can't wait

Yeah, I didn't like the empty promise he made to Sam either. Dean probably knew he was going to gank Amy the moment he found out about her. It's that mix of good and bad in him that makes me like him so much.

Dean is not like those other main characters in films and shows who always do the right thing and everything, is a very human character and so he makes mistakes. And that's just one thing of what's awesome about him.

I loved this scene. It showed the big brother side of Dean that I love.
I love season 7 so far. I see foreshadowing with the little boy. I defiantly want to see him again. I think the Dean we saw was pissed at Sam for leaving him in the middle of no where with a cast on his leg and having no way to get around. I also think it was season 1/2 Dean. The one who is more aggressive and is shot first, questions later.

Same here!! I'm definitely loving this season, and can't wait to see what happens next, and if the boy returns. The whole sequence and the way he and Dean "promised" to face each other again were freakin' cool!

I think Dean killed Amy because he knew there is a chance that Amy would harm more people later either for her child or herself (who knows, but it's wrong to kill others for your own needs) and Sam would blame himself if that happened.

Aaah, that could be, I don't know! There are various reasons for which he felt this need of killing her. It was like Season 1/2 Dean. But if I can see why he did, probably what really got me is the fact that he promised Sam not to kill her, and he did!
