Trying a new coloring style.
I didn't like the supersmooth airbrush and tried this. Doesn't look half bad.

This is one of the best renditions of Conan I've ever seen.
Honestly I'm not a Conan fan.. so I don't know alot of him other then the first book (and movies i guess) but I really think you bring him to life in this drawing. Also I too like this painted style color vs. the ultra smooth (late 90's style) cg comic coloring that is popular today.

It looks great, too. I agree, smooth colouring isn't too interesting to look at compared to this, which gives more texture to objects.
The shaft of the axe is still way too smooth though =/
