Description
As the coronavirus pandemic continues, let us not forget the man who first tried to sound the alarm in China despite the Communist government doing everything possible to shut him up: Dr. Li Wenliang . Born on 12 October 1986, Dr. Li was taken from us far too soon at only 33 years old on 7 February 2020.
Please take the time to visit the Wikipedia link to read about Dr. Li. He was the first to publicly identify the coronavirus that causes COVID-19, and his "reward" was an official reprimand from the Wuhan provincial government warning him to "stop spreading rumors." Dr. Li was then brave enough to share a copy of the letter with the world so that we all know what the government of China tried to do.
I will never be able to prove anything, but I believe that because of his brave actions, his willingness to be a whistleblower for the sake of the world, and to then show us all exactly how his government retaliated, he was then either directly murdered or denied the levels of lifesaving care that he needed when he came down with the very illness he tried to stop. We now know, as COVID-19 goes around the world, that it doesn't tend to kill people of Dr. Li's young age and good health. Perhaps the Communists hoped this would be like the first SARS epidemic and they could make Dr. Li look like nothing more than an unfortunate statistic. Again, I can't prove anything but I just cannot buy that. Not after Dr. Li defied the Chinese government for the sake of all of us, and made them look like malicious fools in the process.
However it happened, exactly, the suppression of free speech and the rule by authoritarianism and fear in China directly caused the death of Dr. Li Wenliang, and more than we currently know.
Whatever the true cause of his death, though, let us never forget what Dr. Li did. Had the Communists listened, we would not be where we are now. And had he not stood up, we could be in an even worse position than where we are.
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Also, few noted that Li Wenliang is from an ethnic minority. Not Tibetan or Uyghur, a Manchu.

I can’t say I’m really very well educated on the various groups in China, but that is interesting to know. Do you think that might have prejudiced the authorities against him further?

I guess so. Manchurians are supposdly assimilated to China, yet the CCP never forgot Japan's role in creating a satellite state in Manchuria.

I thought the Manchurians were Chinese?? If so, wow, talk about some victim blaming by the CCP.

Well done. We need to recognize those who, since October of last year, tried everything to warn their government and the world of what was coming.
By the same token, we need to call out those who hid the threat from the world until January 20, when the CCP and the WHO finally admitted that there was something we need to worry about. More than 95% of the deaths could have been avoided if China had come clean from the start and allowed CDC staff to monitor the situation in Wuhan, and if the WHO had not been covering up for the CCP all this time. Those are the ones who are to blame and who must be held accountable, or else the sacrifice of Dr. Wenliang and Dr. Feng (and their brave colleagues) would have been in vain.

Finally some US and UK mainstream media are considering the possibility that the virus got out of a Wuhan bio lab that experimented on bats. It was just a couple of hundred meters away from the Wuhan wet market.
The virus comes from bats and there were no bats at that particular wet market yet, until now, mainstream media had not bothered to connect the dots to the lab:

Already shared his story to close ones and others this past two weeks. The lack of awareness is astounding and Li died doing what he knew was right.
You'd think these leaders would learn to listen to their most reliable sources...

Not that I'm a tin hat wearer about this virus, but all of a sudden, the government is 110% controlling where we go, how many people we go with, when we go, where, closing events.... wasn't that easy?

The media and Internet are not restricted in the US though, so there is a powerful check against abuses. Which is always a good thing anywhere that government power (regardless of who is in Washington) is concerned.
