The only one who can keep him at bay with his emotions is his sister Kwen. She's more reasonable and rational. Dexter tries his best to follow her as close as possible but can be protective of her as well.

Aside from Dexter's temper, he finds himself dissociating whenever he gazes into crystals within Vitalus or waterfalls. A part of him finds peace and allows him to calm down any angst felt at that moment.
