Journey Trial - Not the Talkative TypeMattheus and Kauna seemed to be having somewhat of a leadership dispute. Usually the little runner, Sonja would have forced her way to the head of the group, fighting anyone who dared oppose her no matter what their size. However, her old friend Churro had decided to join their party from Thedale and when she was around, Sonja became miraculously calm and complacent. Maybe it was because she would rather spend time with the other runner, so similar to herself, rather than fighting for the lead, or maybe it was just an effect that Churro had on her, but either way; it certainly put Moris at rest when Sonja’s friend was present.
The man sat atop Mattheus, hoping that his and Kauna’s fight wouldn’t become physical and leave him at the centre of it. Behind him he could almost feel Hashiim smiling at his misfortune from where he rode on Churro. He was Moris’s dearest friend; a merchant he had met while selling produce in Thedale. Loyalty Trial - The Way Back HomeMoris and his company had been travelling for several hours, going slowly with Sonja’s injuries. The brown runner had received the bad end of a bear’s paw and her one eye was badly hurt. He had made due with a strip of his shirt as a dressing, but he needed to get her home to properly treat the wound. The trouble was that he had had to cover both eyes so that the dressing wouldn’t slip off, and Sonja could see nothing ahead of her. He had asked her old friend, Churro to lead her so that her pride could remain intact, but it was still going slowly as Sonja picked her way through the dense underbrush.
Moris walked behind her with his purple duve puller, Mattheus, by his side. The puller wasn’t having an easier time than Sonja, not only because he was worried about her, but because he had to carry the great bear that they had caught; the very same bear that had slashed at Sonja.
