I have a masters in bio so I have a science background and currently do tech support, but mostly, I grew up with a computer geek and a physics nerd and am now married to a video game dork, so I am surrounded by it.

Either my son explains them to me, or I google the terms!
There is a forum that explains a few of the harder ones. Some of the gags are about games, or "in " jokes about cons, so I don't Feel SO bad for not getting them.

I love XKCD, have a bunch of them on my cubical walls(work in computers...) Some need some googling to figure out. I 'think' this one is tangent, thats why it is sideways? (Get it - sin, cos and tan?) I could be wrong though.

I don't get the mouse-over hint, but it is a rotational matrix - when you multiply something by it, it rotates the vector. so the answer is rotated.

I was a Music (clarinet)/Math/English major, ended up dropping the math major for a web dev minor, couldn't complete the music degree because I can't play piano.
But yeah, I still don't get all the XKCD jokes, even with a background in higher-end sciences, maths, and a computer scientist for a boyfriend.
