Doing research on local history, our intrepid detective discovered a story of a lost treasure hidden beneath a local pond! As Nancy was surveying the area, however, she would discover she was not the only one on the trail of the elusive prize. A fact she woefully discovered when a hand was clamped over her mouth and she was dragged behind some bushes! Helplessly bound, gagged, and hidden away, there was nothing she could do as she listened to her abductors tell Bess and George that they hadn't seen her around. When the girls had left, they returned back with wicked smiles, "There, now we have all the time to make sure no one will know what happened to the treasure - or Miss Nancy Drew!"
