Description Just a little mockup for Windows8. A teeny bit based off gaia09.

EDIT: Alrighty, fixed up a lot. There's a taskbar on the bottom left which, next to the application name (in this case, firefox) lists the tabs that are open. The start menu is only for checking updates and such, and Launchy (as seen on the right of the screen) is used in place of the start menu for everything (volume, cp panel, opening apps, etc).

I like how the close, File, Edit, View etc. stuff are at the bottom. This looks really cool but maybe you should add more stuff like what the start menu and taskbar buttons will look like

wow this is looks even more awesome but what's the thing in the bottom middle part of the screen. Also, how will the taskbar look when more than 1 thing is open (ex. Firefox and WLM)

This looks unique. I'd never thought of this idea before using File, Edit, etc. at the bottom of the application. It looks pretty simple but it's definately an eyecatcher. Nice work.

Also I second haran-hockey. You should give us a view of what it looks like with more than one application open. Also I'd like to see some trays floating around in the taskbar. Just give it a try. ;D
