XP Acutally I'll probably move this to scraps because of it's lack of backgroundness....Anyway, very few of you probably remember this old experiment of mine, and in case it isn't blatantly obvious most of my characters are undergoing "tune-ups". This one has changed quite a bit from This [link] *shudders*
Anyway this is his update and I like this color job of mine. True it's no Ribera....but it much improved since my first days doing digital artwork. X3 Plus I have no tablet soooo yes.

Gorgeous design! He looks almost like a little dragon with the horns and tail. I like his head shape in particular; something about the gentle curve down leading to his nose is so visually appealing. You really took the experiment concept and adapted it to your own style.
I love your color choices, too. The warm shades of red, orange, and yellow go well together without being hard on the eyes. I really like the pale face/belly and the blue eye, too. The contrast the bring in rounds out the color scheme perfectly. And the shading is very good, too, especially the little shine on his chest fur.
The only thing I might change is to add a bit more shape to the chest/stomach area. It's in a straight line right now, which isn't very visually interesting. Overall, though, his design very effectively gives off the "firepower" vibe I think you were going for. All the separate parts of his character--the colors, the head spikes, the tail--work together so well. And it's awesome to see how far your art has come!
