This conversation happened almost verbatim IRL while planning these comics. We were in *Aaron-Smiley 's car and everything.

I'm not sure why, but I really like Aaron's expression in the second panel.
And I've heard Iowa called the "American Heartland" before, but if that's the heart of America, than I'm afraid. Also, a very nice simile you used there.

I'm trying to figure out how I would get there. Most likely train or car, but I'm not sure which would be easier/cheaper. Or if there even is a train nearby that I could take to Iowa...should be...but...Ah dunno.

I may or may not be able. I'm not good with maps or anything, I have no clue where a train station in Iowa is, near where I need to be, or where I would have to go to take that particular train.
This is why I don't travel, I would get hopelessly lost.

I used Mapquest to see what route it suggested from LA to Cedar Rapids. It got me a rough idea, which was nice.

Yeah, he was talking about going to Canada around of the end of this year, or early next year. He told me to put in the comic that I was going with him since he mentioned having to apparently go through Iowa.

Yup. Most of my family that lives near is close. Ish. If they go on a trip they tend to drag one of us, or all of us, along. If my cousin went, she would probably drag me along.

It would be funny, after a while it usually is, but I get car sick. Motion sick, really...but since it only ever happens in vehicles I'll stick to calling it car sickness. Small spaces don't help anyway...
