Dancing Through RealityEW >.> This manip sickens me. I'm disgusted just ew. Look at the lightening work. Omg ew. I know the shadow is screwed up the lightening in general is just sickening it ruined the whole image It's just absolutely revolting. ICKICKICK. I can't even believe I'm posting this into my DA account. >.>
So the only good thing I think I enjoy about this image is the fact that I had drew the mane, forelock & tail by scratch. I was very proud of the picture on how it turned out before I started the lighting for the first time and just -rampage-. I dun like this whatsoever>.>
I plan on creating a southerner on The Secret [[ [link] ]] but with the looks of this, I don't think I want to even show it on there. Maybe I might post it as a freebie >.< I dunno. If you're interested in this piece let me know and we can chit chat about it.

Its beautiful and amazing! No matter what you say. If you keep saying that, I'll have to poke you with the evil spork I always carry around for some reason. But I wanna see more of your work! I use GIMP 2.6, and usually really bad at using it, but you seem to have mastered it! Nice work!

Thank you, I'm glad people don't really get after me for my rookie mistakes, suchasthelighting -cursecurse- But I've been working GIMP for just over a year, perhaps longer and I've definitely had my ups and downs. If you ever need any help with anything let me know and maybe we could work it out, or I could be just as clueless as you :3 btw I love sporks

And thank you. I've been using it for maybe 2 years now, but with my constant cheap mouses they break every month, I can't make much improvements till I can play for a new one. But the lighting is better than most of mine.

I was actually looking just looking through your gallery and fell in love with a few gorgeous pictures <3 & for my mane and tails it really depends on my mood. On This current picture I painted but on You're so hypnotizing , Waiting for the Unknown and running free were all smudged the rest show my progression in painting manes & tails. I realized that I have a huge fan for tutorials and I really thank everyone for doing them and putting the time in, they've definitely helped me out a lot

With me, I try to get my manes painted in, but my mouse, like I said, always break on me. I've been saving to get a good wireless one, which I hope will make it easier. With tutorials, I find it is extremely hard to find good ones for GIMP, so I either find a photoshop, or learn it myself somehow. But where we be without those tutorials. I almost made one time, but it didn't really turn out right.

Ooo an art trade :3 I've never actually did one before, but I've always wanted to it seems like all the /amazinggg/ artists do them -envy-. I could probably do one anytime because I'm like on the computer daily, working on random pictures xD & for tutorials I kinda just bounced off of some good friends who picked everything a part & to make my manes look more realistic I use the brushes I use to smudge, that way it just looks more natural :3 & thats how I paint them in. :3

They're really fun. I've done three so far, and they're fairly easy to do. If you want, we could do one now.
And I'm exactly the same way. I'm always on the computer, since I can't get outside very much at the moment. When I end up using the same brush for my manes and tails smudging, it always comes out weird. I think GIMP just flat out hates me.

Thanks xD But I still believe the lighting is terrible, I got a few good tutorials and when I find time I think I'm going to make another manip with using /proper/ lighting techniques hopefully :3
