--

Maybe the same one as Serperior Lady during afternoon, maybe.
Err, I guess wanted to revisit my Serperior design once again in a more cute way...
Actually, I had this in my mind for a long time and found it an adorable idea.

The trees in the background suck, don't mind them.
ALSO HOW DO YOU DRAW WATERING CANS

EDIT: I'll stick this design with Viria.

Well, this is certainly interesting. An anthro form of Serperior. You already get bonus marks for using my favourite Unova starter evolution.

Vision: I think the idea of using Serperior watering a garden is very clever. Not only because of the fact she is a grass Pokemon and cares for the nature and earth surrounding her, but it also puts her in the realm of Pokemon. I am assuming those are berry trees? Or at the very least saplings. It reinforces the fact that this is a Pokemon piece of art, and allows the viewer to become more involved in the artwork.

Originality: This gained the highest marks, because of the what you have done. You have made an anthro version of Serperior, that in my opinion, actually works. I have seen many anthro Pokemon that just look... physically wrong. But this one works. It may have been easier because it was a simple design, but whatever it was, it worked. And for that, you got 4.5 stars. I would've given five, but I'm trying to not be a softy critic, and there is probably something that could have been added or not.

Technique: I think this was done really well. You have given it a soft and light feel, the light side of Pokemon. No conflict involved, just simple and passive gardening and you have enforced that with the lighter colours, curved and gentle lines/slopes. The blurred background also serves well, situating her in a garden, and reinforcing the gardening, but not taking the viewers eye away from the main parts, such as Serperior herself.

Impact: I love this. It's beautiful, simple and pretty. It's easy to understand what she is doing, and of course why. There is nothing more I can add to this.

Very cute! I don't get the other comments, she's supposed to be an anthro version of Serperior, correct? Of COURSE she's gonna have legs! Anyway, really cute design!

Well I thought I messed up something badly on the legs, but I guess it was something else.

On another note, thanks!

Anthropomorphicism is cool. So is perspective.

Well did you want me to amputee her or something?

And why wear shorts if you wear a dress already? You're just in the garden anyway.

nah, more like her feet, -is not much of an art critique-

Reshidove In reply to Solar-Slash [2011-07-19 16:30:47 +0000 UTC]

Those feet are based on Servine's, for the record.

Plus, I can't draw feet that well.

Emplosion-Syndrome In reply to Reshidove [2011-07-19 23:10:21 +0000 UTC]

Unless she's sitting down or balancing on her tail.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 0

Emplosion-Syndrome In reply to Reshidove [2011-07-19 23:06:57 +0000 UTC]

It's not the design. The balance is off. You'd need the feet to be a little more back or she'd fall over.
It's not a major problem though.
