just realized that the title could be read like "spike in rarity"**anyways, this is not a vector FYI. I'm learning illustrator, but i'll still use photoshop for more pony projects like this one. I actually got this idea 2 weeks ago, but didn't even start it till like what last week. Spike's pose and outfit is based off from the beginning of "feeling pinkie keen", so yeah. I'm still learning more and more erryday bout the pentool and how to perfect things. If i could do it all over again (lol), i'd make it 100 times better in quality.

If and when, Spike is not the kind of guy to "pay for it," and Rarity definitely isn't that kind of mare. Hopefully it should be more important that Spike is working to make her happy... Yeah, that's it.
You did an amazingly clean job on the lines with them, down to some good little details (ruffles especially, but also Rarity's cutie mark gems at this angle). The joyful surprise on her face is makes me smile, and I love Spike's half-kneeling look as he hopes so hard that she will really like it. (Hopefully as much because it's from him.)
The dapper little outfit is great, giving him the kind of class that Rarity appreciates. He's definitely on his way to being quite the charmer, and you show it beautifully.
