My name is Pyra, and I am an Ether of fire. I belong to the royal family of Ignis, one of the four realms that exist in this world. Each realm has its own element: fire, water, earth, and air. Each realm also has its own Ether, a warrior who can wield the power of their element and defend their people from any threat. The Ethers are a rare and special breed of people, who can tap into the hidden realm of existence, where the forces of nature reside. We can manipulate and command the elements, creating and controlling fire, water, earth, and air. We can also sense and communicate with each other, forming a bond that transcends the boundaries of the physical world. I have been the Ether of Ignis since I was sixteen, when my father passed away in a battle against the water realm. He was a great king and a brave Ether, but he was also reckless and proud. He wanted to expand his territory and claim the resources of the other realms, especially the water realm, which he despised. He started a war that lasted for years, and cost many lives on both sides. I inherited his throne and his duty, but not his ambition. I wanted to end the war and restore peace among the realms. I wanted to use my fire power for good, not for destruction. I wanted to be a benevolent ruler, not a tyrant. But it was not easy to change the course of history. The other realms did not trust me, and neither did some of my own people. They saw me as a weak and naive girl, who did not deserve to wear the crown or wield the flame. I had to prove them wrong. I had to show them that I was a strong and capable leader, who could protect and guide them. I had to balance the demands of my role, the expectations of my subjects, and the desires of my heart. I had to make hard choices, and sometimes compromise my morals. I had to fight for what I believed in, and sometimes against those I cared about. I had to face enemies, allies, and myself.
