Description
I just finished "Nicholas Sayre and the Creature in the Case" (I think that's what it's called) from Across the Wall by Garth Nix. I was reminded of just how much I love his characters, especially Sabriel from the book by the same name. She's probably my favorite heroine in any book ever, as well as my favorite protagonist period. I wish I could BE Sabriel.Instead, I'll draw pictures of her.
As far as coloring -- I don't even try anymore.

Nice work! I've always loved Nix's books, though, I'm more of a Mogget fan (I also liked Lireal, but Sabriel is certainly a stronger heroine).
It's always great to see different renditions of some of my favorite books. Look forward to seeing more from you.

Ooh, well done! There's so little Sabriel art floating around; it's so nice to find some and find it drawn so nicely! I think you got her hair and body type perfect and did a wonderful job on her outfit.
Sabriel is an awesome, strong character, indeed, and while she's my favourite, I'll defend Lirael a bit and say that those library adventures were pretty cool.

I read those books about four years ago, and to this day I still love them. Sabriel was such a strong female character, and I aspired to be as resourceful and intelligent as she was. The picture that you drew sent me back down memory lane; itβs just as the book described it. I find her expression to be particularly in character as well, at least from what I remember. Excellent job.

I have to say, Nick himself has always been my favorite Nix character, though Sabriel herself is wonderful too. Gah. Your art style fits so well with her personality, if that makes any sense. Kudos.

I'm in love with that trilogy!! Believe me, you're not the only one with wishes of being as kick-ass as Sabriel. Even Lirael was rather a bit of a wimp compared to her
Annnnyways, great drawing!! This one's very different from most drawings of this character i've seen, so kudos to you for being unique!!

Yay, thanks for the comment! Sabriel really is the epitome of Awesome. Lirael just wasn't the same.
