Description This was built for a group project.

The techniques used in this are far more solid and detailed than those of my wolf. The hooves are my favorite part and took the longest to make because I had to compound techniques for stubborn parts into a small area. I followed the anatomy of a horse as best I can for this. Enjoy!

I do love the hooves but honestly the mane and tail are my favourite bits: they have such a good flow to them and the mix of colours works in with that too.

you should attempt to make the mane and tail rainbow, and give it a unicorn horn!

So, I noticed which parts you used to make the hooves, and well.... that's incredible that they didn't buckle or "break" under the weight of the body during some of it's poses. Your talents and techniques truly have improved over time and they all show greatly in this creation. Great job.

retinence In reply to Aetherian [2010-07-27 00:20:23 +0000 UTC]

Thanks for all the comments. The hooves did buckle if they were bent too far forward. The strong point was the back of the hoof. The wilder poses such as the ones I put on here were held up by a stand and balanced with the hooves. I photoshopped the stand out though.

No kidding? Nice trick photography then, I was convinced that you managed to find a way to make those visors support the weight in a unique way. lol. Nicely done.

Amazing anatomical detail! Just amazing!

How good is it for moving and posing?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

retinence In reply to Omanoct [2010-07-16 16:28:15 +0000 UTC]

I made this to pose in as many different forms as possible. The legs can nearly fully flex in the same way as a real horse. The neck can extend down and slightly further up and can turn about half way around. The tail can also be adjusted. The only problem I have is the the torso (which has 2 joints to move it in many directions) is a little hard to maneuver.

Oh perfect, right when I'm halfway through a horse moc of my own >.< Still, the styles and pieces are different, and this is still a wonderfully crafted MOC.

You could always give it an Arabian or Spanish name.
