Astral is my most favorite splatoon oc. So much so that I haven’t even posted any art of him on here, I even posted some art of his children before I posted art of him. WOWZA!!!

Anyways some story stuff.

After multiple years of trials and tests Astral was seen as weak & therefore was useless to his creator “A Failure”. Being left for dead Astral would want to find a way to take revenge, but he knew he couldn’t focus on that right now, he had no memories of his past life he wasn’t even sure if he had a life before “The Facility”, he knew that he’d have to find a way to survive in this “new” strange world.

After a few years an Inkling had found and let him live with them. With a more stable life Astral had started trying to make living creatures.. others like him, originally this was part of his plan for revenge, but soon that want for revenge would fade after many “failed” experiments. He realized that he cared for his creations, he didn’t want them to feel like failures, even the “failed” experiments he never threw them away, he’d chose to keep them never wanting them to feel useless or unloved even if they weren’t ever alive or able to “feel” anything, and if one of these experiments actually ended up being “successful” Astral knew he couldn’t send them to their possible death. So Astral would continue his experiments with a new goal to create living beings, that he’d make sure they felt loved, that they’d never feel useless or like failures, he wanted to create a family.

After many experiments he’d finally done it, he had made a living being. It wasn’t exactly what he was aiming for but he was still extremely happy. A sentient little blob of ink, Astral would name it “Oop” his precious little Oop, the first of many.
