Description
A prison bus arrives from the city before coming to a screeching halt at the front of one particular building across the street from the more prominent studio. It’s single passenger slowly emerged through the open doors: Heath Lynx
The dastardly rival of LionKingHeart Fantasy Films, was once again free after serving months in jail. He returned to his studio, Fantasy Lynx Productions. The front gates were closed and held shut by binding chains secured with an old fashioned model lock. Fortunately for Heath, the key to the lock was granted to him upon release. After unlocking and unbinding the chains, he opened up his gates for first time since he moved into the studio.
Before going inside, Heath glanced over his shoulder at the LionKingHeart Fantasy Films Studio across the street. The symbol of a mighty Lion shining along the building, LionKingHeart Fantasy Films is a non-profit production company that made itself quite well known for some of it’s memorable works. The home to many talented artists, actors, and promising film directors, it has gained widespread attention for it’s unique take on some beloved classics. To this day, LionKingHeart Fantasy Films remains one of the strongest film companies in it’s time.
Heath sneered as the thought of that fateful night when he lost in a contest to the CEOs and was exposed as a thief. He was also angry that they had “taken” the lioness he desired from him. Where simple business rivalry was Heath’s primary objective, he now wanted revenge. How he would get that revenge would take some thought, but he was determined to make them pay no matter how long it would take.
Then Heath turned his head back forward and walked into his studio. All of his stuff was right where it was last left before his incarceration. Though now it was all covered in dust and cobwebs.
“Talk about your fixer-uppers,” said Heath.
He blew some dust off of his desk. The dust fluttered about in midair and right back around Heath, causing the lynx to sneeze repeatedly and hard enough to blow the dust off of everything else.
“Man, I should have hired a maid for this place.”
Regardless, the office was now clean and Heath began grabbing his old belongings. He carried them down to the basement of his studio. With a free paw, he flicked the switch, but the lights didn’t come on.
“Rats! I guess the electric bill is a past due a few months.”
Without any light, Heath proceeded forward. He tripped and fell down in a comic fashion with all of his stuff tumbling to the floor around him.
“That first step is a real lulu.” He said as he shook off his pain, then he looked at an old black box with encrusted jewels on it that was in front of him. “Hello, what do we have here?”
Heath took the box into his paws and opened it. Inside was an old warlock’s book, and by the looks of the cover it had not seen the light of day for thousands of years. Wrapped around the booklet was a necklace. Attached to which was a bright red amulet with strange black markings on it.
“Eh, just some old book.” Heath said as he removed the necklace from around it. He opened the book and skimmed through the pages. It was filled with terms written in Latin. Heath tried to read one of the pages out loud. “Who can read this? And how come there’s no pictures?”
Heath just tossed the book aside. “This ain’t worth the paper it was printed on, but this!” He held up the necklace and glanced at the amulet with wide greedy eyes. “This pretty little thing can be worth a fortune. I can sell for millions, be back on top in no time and even have Rae the Lioness all to myself.”
Despite Heath not being able to read Latin, his attempt had magically triggered a portal to open up from within the pages of the book. From the portal emerged a plume of smoke, and from the floor rose a circle of flames.
“Hey! What heck’s going on around here!?!” Heath shouted.
“I am free!” a demonic voice called out.
“Who said that?”
“It is I!” From the flames and smoke, a figure emerged. It was a giant humanoid demon with red skin, claws on both hands and feet and a multitude of spikes protruding from his back and head. “I am the Lord of Terror! I am Al’Diabalos, or you may refer to me as Diablo!
“D-d-d-Diablo?” Heath coward. “Never heard of ya.”
“Silence, coward!
Diablo was about strike at Heath when he saw the amulet held in his paw. He suddenly stopped and bowed before the lynx.
“Huh? What are you doing?” Heath asked.
“You bare the Amulet of United Souls. Whoever wears that amulet is Master of Heaven and Hell.”
“You mean I’m your master now?”
“Yes, my master.”
Diablo humbly bowed before Heath, who looked at the devil with a devious grin on his face.

Meanwhile, over at the LionKingHeart Fantasy Films Studios, Benny the Beast, Leo Lionheart and Johnny the Lion were celebrating Rae the Lioness’s birthday. Joining them at the party were Kyle the Otter, Chrissy Mullins and Koragg the Dingo. These were three new friends that were employed to the studio not long after Rae was. The seven friends enjoyed music and dancing, had a delicious cake and some ice-cream, and now it was time to open presents.
Starting with Koragg’s present, they watched as Rae unwrapped the box to reveal a WWE T-Shirt much like Koragg’s. Except this one had one of John Cena’s famous “U Can’t See Me” quotes. But best of all, it was autographed by the icon himself.
"I love it. Thank you, Koragg." said Rae.
"Aw, shucks," Korragg replied modestly. "Think nothing of it. Course, the crowds were crazy that one night at WWE Raw and nearly every stand was sold out. Then I just happened to run in Cena and he was nice enough to give me one of his shirts, even autographed it himself."
Next up was Kyle and Chrissy. Together, Kyle gave Rae a Complete Sailor Moon Series Blu-ray set while Chrissy present an authentic Sailor Moon wand.
"It's beautiful," Rae explained as she held up the wand. "Thank you, Chrissy."
"You're welcome," Chrissy replied. "I had that ordered straight from Japan and knew how much of a big fan you were of the show."
"Look at the cover of the Blu-Rays," said Kyle.
Rae held up her new Sailor Moon Blu-Ray set and read what was written on the cover outloud, "To one of my most favorite fans, Rae, here’s wishing you a Happy Birthday! Signed…Kotono Mitsuishi and Naoko Takeuchi!"
"Whoa! You even got the creator of the manga to sign that?" asked Leo.
"Call it a bonus," Kyle responded.
"How very sweet," said Rae as she kneeled down and kisses his forehead. "Thank you."
“Now it's my turn,” Johnny said as he handed her a small gift, "Happy Birthday, Rae."
“Thank you, Johnny,” replied Rae. She opened the gift, and in it was a bouquet of roses. “They’re beautiful.”
“I knew you’d like them.” Johnny mumbled something else under his breath. “Let’s hope the neighbors won’t miss them.”
“This is from me, Rae.” said Benny, handing Rae a package wrapped in blue and silver wrapping. Rae opened the package and it was a diamond tiara.
“Benny, this is wonderful! It must have cost you a fortune.” said Rae.
“No price is too good for my friends.”
“And last, but not least,” said Leo, who brought out a rather large package, “here is my gift to you.”
“Wow! That’s a big one.” said Rae. She opened the gift from the side like a two-door closet. Inside was a brand new golden ball gown with silver trimmings. “Oh, Leo! I love it!”
“Try it on, Rae.” said Leo.
Rae slipped into the ball grown. It fit her like a glove over her hand. She placed the golden tiara on her head, thus completing her ensemble.
“Now I feel like a real princess,” said Rae. “Thank you all for the wonderful gifts.”
“You’re welcome, Rae.” said Koragg.
“Hey, there’s one more that you missed.” said Kyle as he picked up a small metal box and handed it to Rae. On the lid, there was card that said, “Best wishes from your secret admirer.” She then opened the box, and inside was a stone that was as pale as the moon. It sparkled like a star when Rae held the stone in her paw.
“Alright, which one of you is my secret admirer?” she asked.
“Not me,” said Leo.
“Nor I.” said Benny.
“Don’t look at me,” said Johnny.
“It’s not me,” said Kyle.
“And it’s not me,” said Koragg.
“Must be a mystery guest,” said Krissy.
“Who ever he is, I’d really like to meet him.” said Rae.
Suddenly, without so much as a warning, the room began to shake and the ground erupted with a wall of fire. The glass from the windows shattered as everyone took cover.
“What’s happening!?!” Leo shouted.
“I don’t know,” shouted Benny. “I don’t know!”
The ground slowly ceased shaking as Heath Lynx entered into studio building with Diablo by his side. Instead of his usual director garb, Heath was now dressed in black armor with glowing orange and red trimming and spikes protruding from his arms and shoulder armor.
“Heath Lynx!” Rae, shouted. “I thought you were in jail.”
“I got out on parole,” Heath replied.
Everyone looked up with terrified eyes at the large demon that accompanied Heath. Diablo looked down with a sinister grin as his shadow fell deeply upon them. He then suddenly took notice to the stone being held by Rae.
“Everyone, I’d like you to meet Diablo…my new partner.”
“Heath, are you crazy?” asked Koragg.
“You made a deal with the devil?” Chrissy asked. “That’s a new low, even for you.”
“Oh, no, no, no, deary,” Heath said in a cocky tone while wagging his finger. “You got it all wrong. I didn’t bargain with the devil. I OWN the devil now.”
“WHAT?!?” everyone shouted simultaneously.
“How is THAT even possible?” asked Johnny.
“With this.” Heath helped up the amulet that he was now wearing around his neck. “As long as I got this, tall, dark and gruesome here does whatever I tell him. It doesn’t take much for a giant fire demon to level an entire studio to rubble, but I just might let you all live…if,”
Heath looked over at Rae. Once again, he found himself captivated by her beauty. He was even more captivated by the new golden gown and tiara she was wearing. With a snap of Heath’s fingers, Diablo transformed Heath’s armor into a royal prince uniform.
“If Princess Rae here will agree to marry me.”
Rae gasped. Heath snapped his fingers again and Diablo conjured a ruby engagement ring, which materialized from a small flame, into the lynx’s paw.
“What do you say, Rae? Why wait for someday? You’re prince has come today.”
Rae slapped Heath’s paw, sending the ring flying out of his grasp.
“Not a chance, Heath!” she replied.
“You’re gonna regret this, sweetheart!” Heath said while gritting his teeth. His royal garbs changed back into battle armor, then the angry lynx raised his paw, ready to give Diablo the order to destroy the entire studio with everyone else in it.
“If you kill us now, Heath, you’ll kill Rae too,” said Leo.
Heath growled, then reluctantly lowered his paw back down.
“Fine! This ain’t over, pussycat! I will have Rae for myself, and then I’ll make the rest of you pay big time for humiliating me!”
“You did that to yourself, Heath,” said Chrissy.
“And playing with the powers of Hell has a price even you won’t be able to pay,” added Benny.
“Diablo, we‘re outta here!” Heath commanded. He and the devil both vanished in a plume of red smoke. Everyone was left coughing up the smoke until it slowly evaporated.
“This just great!” Rae sarcastically commented. “Just great! Bad enough that sleaze ball in back in business.”
“Now he has power over the devil himself,” added Kyle.
“This is far beyond bad,” said Leo. “It’s extremely dangerous.”
“Not to mention extremely scary,” added Johnny.
