Description The next morning while Elna and Joey went to the city to trade potatoes for lumber to repair the broken fence, everyone else went out to tend to their morning chores.  Terra would feed the animals on the farm their breakfast while Tavin cleaned out their stables.  Stefano, Rae and Lyon went into the forest to collect berries.  To ensure that they didn’t get lost among the massive trees, they stayed along a path that Lyon had laid out years ago for his family.
“Now remember, my young ones, we need blueberries and raspberries,” said Lyon.
“Right, father,” Rae replied.  “They are right for picking this time of year.”
“And more importantly, we must not stray too far from the path.”
“We don’t want to get lost in the woods, especially when it gets-a dark.  I’m-a scared of the dark.”
Lyon and Rae chuckled with a warm smile.  While they were picking berries, Lyon saw a cloaked figure watching them from not too far away.
“Excuse me, my good fellow,” he said as he approached the stranger.  “Are you lost?  I can help you find your way to the city, if that is where you are headed.”
The figure ran off in a direction away from the road without saying anything.
“Wait, please!” Lyon called out.  He is about to run after the stranger when Stefano gripped his leg.
“Don’t leave go, father,” Stefano cried.
Lyon carefully pulled the frightened sea lion off of him and said, “Stay here with Rae and keep picking berries.  I’ll be back very soon.  I promise.”
With that, the elder followed the mysterious stranger away from the path and further into the woods.  Soon, he arrived at a large clearing where a ray of sun shined brightly in the very center.  The cloaked figure stood within the ray of light.
“Forgive me, stranger, if my beastly appearance has frightened you,” said Lyon.
“It has not, Lyon Noah,” the figure spoke.
“What?  How do you know my name?”
The stranger removed his cloak and revealed himself as Shao-Hao the Almighty God of Heaven and Earth.  Lyon was shocked to be in the presences of the divine creator.
“My lord, forgive me,” he said as he dropped to his knees and bowed.
“Rise, my son,” Shao-Hao replied.  “I wanted you to follow me here because it is here that I can tell you about an important mission I have for you, Lyon.”
“I will do anything you ask of me, my Lord.”
“Then listen closely.   I am going to put an end to all people, for the Earth is filled with violence, corruption and greed because of them.  I am going to bring floodwater on the earth to destroy all life under the heavens, every creature that has the breath of life in it.”
“This is terrible news!  My lord, is there any way my family can be spared?”
“You and your family have found favor in my eyes, Lyon.  I have chosen you to help me start life over.    I want you to construct an ark of cypress wood; make rooms in it and coat it with pitch inside and out.  The ark should be three hundred cubits long, fifty cubits wide and thirty cubits high.  Make a roof for it, leaving below the roof an opening one cubit high all around.  Put a door on the side of the ark large enough for the tallest and widest animals to walk through, and make lower, middle and upper decks.  Everything on Earth will perish, but I will establish my convent with you, and you will enter the ark – you, your sons, your wife and your sons’ wives with you.  You are to bring aboard the ark seven pairs of every kind of clean animal and two of every kind of unclean animal.  Every kind of creature with the breath of life will come to you to be kept alive.  You are to take every kind of food that is to be eaten and store it away as food for you and them.”
“There will so much to do,” said Lyon.
“I will speak to you again one week before I bring about the great floodwater.”
“Thank you, my father.  I will begin immediately.”
Shao-Hao instantly vanished and the ray of light faded away.  Lyon immediately ran back through the forest and found the path once again.  He followed it and saw Rae and Stefano, who had finished collecting berries.
“Father, is everything alright?” Rae asked.
“Yes, my child,” he replied.  “Let us take our pickings and return home.  I have something to tell everyone back home.”
The three of them followed the path back to their home.  Lyon asked Tavin and Terra to come inside and join them.  Elna and Joey had returned with lumber from the big city when Lyon gathered everyone to the dining table and, during lunch time, told them about his encounter with Lord Shao-Hao.  He explained to them what was to happen and what they had to do by the Lord’s command.
“An ark of that size will take many years to build,” said Elna.
“I know, my love,” Lyon replied,” and I need everyone’s help to build it.  We can take the cypress wood from the forest to build the ark.”
“We will also need supplies from the city,” said Joey.  “Mother and I can go their early first thing tomorrow after we gather what we can sell.”
“But how will we gather all the animals on the land into the ark?” asked Terra.
“The Lord said that every animal that breathes life will come to us,” Lyon answered.
The family agreed to help Lyon and do as God commanded.   As soon as everyone finished eating lunch, they went out to look for a big enough empty area of land on which they may build the ark.  After a few hours of searching, they found the perfect spot.  It was a vast grassy plain about a mile away from their farm and house.   To ensure that they remember the spot again, Lyon and his sons marked the path with sticks on the way back home.

Just out of curiosity, what's the idea about Shao-Hao and how is he representing God?

Ask Leo.  He suggested I cast Shao-Hao in the role of God.
