Next up for August!!

Sketched on paper, flat color in SAI. Next picture in a series I'm doing, drawing the kids from mine and Gem's RP a year to the day they were first used, got it? Good!

I say first used. This will be the case MOST of the time. There are a few instances where the kids are born and it's stated that they're born, but for one reason or another they aren't used until a later day. If that happens I'll be posting them on the day that they are BORN. If they're used the first time on a different day then I'll state that in the description, or on the picture itself.

Bio time!!

Okay for the record. I said I was gonna add Angel to the RP thing just so she's not left out...I said this back on Jack's picture but forgot so this time I'm aiming for like...an October birthday. That way she's a little over a year when Robyne conceives Mayatha here, and turns one shortly after he's born. Again this is just book-keeping so I don't forget this time.

Anyway on Jack's picture I briefly described what happened to Robyne. In the reboot of her story I came up with had her being part of a sideshow where Jaque finds her, rescuing her from it and discovering she had pure DNA like his own. She was a child at this point and he took her in. He was part of a research group trying to protect echidnas from being exploited, and sometimes used their DNA to try and increase their numbers to make them less coveted, but Jaque made it clear Robyne was off limits. When she's 12, a feral male that is kept on the site escapes his pen and attacks her. This is how she conceives Angel. Jaque's furious and nearly murders his staff for allowing it to happen. Robyne is in a coma for the entire pregnancy, waking up to being a mother. Jaque takes care of them both, still loving Robyne as a sister.

Fast forward and Jaque is busy building his new life with Bree. He's slow to bring Robyne into the new family, and during this time disgruntled workers at his old facility attack Robyne, impregnating her with Jaque's DNA that was kept on file just to spite him. This happens after Angel has turned one. While Jaque is still busy with Bree and their children and unaware that Robyne is in danger, the facility burns down and she escapes with Angel. Running low on food, Robyne collapses from fatigue. She's found by a creature called a lanko. He goes by the name of Marathi, and when Robyne awakens he claims a mint green male that looked similar to her brought her to the safety of the tree where Marathi later found her.

Lankos are a unique species. They live high up in the treetops to avoid predators on the forest floor. They only eat fruit, and are pretty much half-wild though they do speak in broken common tongue. They swing from tree to tree and live simple lives. Each lanko has a different set of symbols that you can see on Mayatha's hair at the back, and they have long, curvy tails that they can use to hang from tree branches with. Marathi takes in Robyne and Angel and they live in the lanko community while Robyne's unborn grows inside her.

It isn't until Kage approaches them, bringing them to Oracle's village to try and hurt Jaque and Bree. This almost succeeds as Jaque is heartbroken when he hears what happened to Robyne, and Bree all but punishes him for not mentioning and for letting Robyne get hurt. Robyne tries to leave the village, hating herself for ruining Jaque's happiness since she truly loved him like a big brother, but something happens before this can be done.

The same echidna that Marathi saw helping Robyne makes a return. He speaks using telepathy, and it is revealed that he, Etheus, is in fact Robyne's father. Her mother was a mortal echidna named Layla, who lost her when Robyne was kidnapped as a baby and later sold to that side show. While he offers forgiveness to Jaque and comforts Robyne, he offers something else to try and soothe the pain. Keep in mind Robyne's only barely 14 at this point. Using his power, he says as long as Jaque gives permission being the baby's father, the child's DNA can be changed to Marathi's making him the father instead, and relieving some of the burden and heartache. Jaque does this, but only if Robyne promises not to leave, and he agrees to make sure she's cared for for good this time.

And this all does come true. Marathi and Robyne have a home built into and around a tree, so Marathi will feel more at home. By the time Mayatha is born, Etheus has become romantically involved with the daughter of Arandor, Amarie, who comes back to live from being a spirit. The two have their own daughter, Nina, giving Angel and Mayatha an aunt that's their age basically XP Jaque is considered an uncle, again, due to that brother/sister bond Robyne and Jaque have. Robyne isn't planning any more children at least for a good while, but for now is living happily with Marathi, her two children, her father, and of course Jaque and his family in Oracle's village.

Now Mayatha looking at him you can tell he's obviously more lanko than anything. The yellow and white fur and the pattern it's in comes from Marathi; the pattern on his hair at the top is another lanko feature that I mentioned before, one that is different for every lanko. The long "tentacles" and hair at the sides of his head are lanko traits as well as that long and curvy tail. It's also why he dresses so casually...male lankos usually only have a loincloth but Robyne gets him into shorts XP

The reddish eyes come from Robyne...Etheus had the same shade and passed it to her. The green that Mayatha has, including the color of the pattern and the rest of his hair comes from Robyne...and the shape of his fringe is identical to hers as well. Quite the handsome mix XP He speaks a bit stronger, like Robyne does, as opposed to full lankos, due to him being surrounded by people who speak it strongly rather than brokenly. However he does have his soft moments, sometimes communicating with simple nods like Marathi will, and he behave like any lanko child having a fondness for trees and fruit, and especially climbing and spending time outdoors. Angel tries her best to learn to climb so they can play together, but even as they grow often has trouble keeping up with her little brother. They're quite the pair X3

Yeah I'm definitely gonna do Angel in October I just...have to XD
