Well, here's my first review. And it's an episode from the most infamous Total Drama season, All-Stars. Honestly, I don't think the season is as bad as people say, but I do understand why people dislike it. It was somewhat poorly written with many characters derailed or flanderized. But with that out of the way, let's get on with the review. The plot is completely nonexistent. It's like the episode was made as quickly as possible to get Gwen and Scott out due to them not having any purpose in the story anymore as Courtney was eliminated an episode ago. What happens otherwise isn't really interesting. We have Mike and his personalities argue about who should be in control, which in itself isn't an original idea, as it was already done in episode 9 of Revenge of the Island. The challenge isn't anything interesting either, it's just a treasure hunt challenge. What's up with Total Drama and having terrible treasure hunt episodes ? Both this and episode 16 of Island were terrible. Though the one thing I can say about the latter is that it wasn't as boring as this one and it tried to tell a story, as contrived as it was. The animation is great, as usual. The characters are honestly are honestly quite boring in this episode. Mal just hurts Gwen and Scott for no reason, which isn't entertaining to watch at all, and it's mainly used to make it clear that neither of them will make it to the finale. Zoey is just being her usual boring self, and she only realizes that Mal took control of Mike's body now, 12 episodes in. Gwen is quite boring as well and while Scott was entertaining as usual, again, watching him get constantly hurt isn't entertaining. The voice acting is great, as usual. The jokes are the biggest bone I have to pick with this episode. They're mostly just unfunny toilet humor. We have stuff like Sasquatchanakwa taking a crap in the Flush of Shame at the beginning of the episode, Gwen "fixing" her painting with bear poop, and "egg butt". So, all in all, it's a really terrible episode and easily the worst of All-Stars.
