Soooo over this past weekend I may or may not have gotten a job. Which required me to download Adobe Illustrator. I freaking love this program. It's so much fun, I'm actually really surprised that I haven't heard more raging about it. I highly highly recommend it (so far at least).Anyways. This took about 2 hours to create. Powerful program. It's the second piece I've made to completion in it.
and yes, if anyone is wondering. i got hired on as an illustrator. for audacese. very kind people over there. check em out.

i came here to adore this artwork and when i read your artist comments, you said that you just downloaded Adobe Illustrator? so that means, this is your first attempt? oh my gawd you are pure genius!

I'm still get the hang of this program, but I think I learn pretty quickly, so we'll see...
And one comment, I played with gradients, yes, but all the texture was done by hand (:
