Alright, so I'm putting this out there to explain myself and to maybe expunge a few demons. I joined DA just a few months ago to simply post my first comic "A Man Named Vengeance" to publishers. Then I started rooting around a bit and found so many great artists and writers who have inspired me, and spurred me on to keep getting better at both crafts.

See, I spent fifteen years chasing after my musical dream only to see it (and two years worth of recordings and thousands of dollars of gear) destroyed. Now I've always had problems with depression, but this sent me off the deep end. I went through four years of soul crushing depression that further alienated me from the world around me and destroyed a lot of friendships. It damn near ended me, but then I somehow rekindled my first passion, comics. In the past year and a half since I've thrown myself into my work and things have turned around for me.

Though I'm still not where I want to be, I'm drawing closer every day, and part of that is thanks to DA. I live in a small city in Indiana where there's no real artistic community, so DA has helped me feel a little less alone in this world. So, to all you amazing people out there on DA who have inspired me to improve myself as an artist, and/or have given me feedback and support, thank you, it is beyond appreciated. Art is a powerful and beautiful thing that can save a soul, and I'm living proof. Well, back to work!
