My babies are coming back with a shiny new name and coat of paint.

The Vereormorph (Dreadful/Fearful Shape) is a species of Extraterrestrial organisms from an unknown region in space. A creature who's biology cannot be classified to a group that exists on Earth, and one who operates in a Hive Mind system, Vereormorph's are highly aggressive and dangerous predatory creatures. Their life cycle begins as a parasitic Larvae that burrows into a victim in their sleep, causing a sharp stinging pain easily mistaken for an insect bite. The parasite will continue to grow in the host, feasting off nutrients the host intakes and copying strands of DNA from their host. When the parasite reaches full maturity, it will violently erupt from the host and continue to mature independently.
Vereormorph's have a consistently similar shape of four legged creatures with a serpent like body, digitigrade limbs, splitting lower jaws filled with backwards facing teeth, a muscular spring loaded tongue similar to Chameleons, soft cartilaginous crests growing off their head, webbed dorsal spines and a long prehensile tail ending in a large venomous stinger. Another unusual feature, is the clear presence of a secondary opening along the creatures underbelly, sternum and neck. From limited research, it appears to be what once was a functional mouth perfectly lined with teeth and tracts leading to the digestive system. However, this feature appears to be vestigial, long since abandoned for a more powerful and versatile primary mouth under its visual sensory organs.
Vereormorphs show no signs of higher intellect and operate on a consistently high aggression, attacking anything that would threaten their hive. Vereormorphs come in many different castes and shapes, always dependent on the host of each individual parasite, but are consistently dangerous and lacking any signs of empathy or remorse to their prey.

When I first joined Deviant Art, among the first things I posted were my Zillamorphs. A creature I made that was inspired by H.R. Geiger's famous Xenomorphs, but they honestly were little more than a Xeno with a lizard like head.

Now, they're crawling out of their hives with a newer, fresher look. I still want them to be an homage to the creatures that inspired them, but with my own touch, making them stand out on their own and looking more alien.
