My Darkstalkers tribute pic, for the Darkstalkers Tribute book published by Udon.

I took the same approach to this as I did with my Street Fighter Tribute pic. Basically just played the game for a whole weekend, pausing it sporadically and draw actual frames of animation from the game. I would recommend this method for aspiring artists wanting to learn good anatomy, but also STYLISTIC anatomy. Capcom are some of the finest artists (video games or otherwise), and the work they put into making DS look AWESOME really shows. If you wanna learn, try that shit.

In specific, studying Darkstalkers anatomy finally helped me find a good method to drawing WOMEN's PUMPS (shoes). They're still a bit tricky, but now I see the method behind the madness [of the human foot in general]. THANK YOU CAPCOM.

This picture contains virtually every character, and yes, some are even repeated.

I drew each character separately. I may put up some of the individual unobscured ones.
