This is Dawnfire's adult superhero outfit, after having trained to control her powers, when she returns to her post-apocalyptic world to help those who are still left.

Life in the 80's was an odd time to be a teen, being constantly told that the world was on the verge of nuclear war between the USA and Russia. Activists came to her school, letting everyone know what they, as teens, could do to help stop and bring awareness of this plight to the world.

Imagine bearing the weight of that as a teenage girl. Imagine feeling the pressure of having to save the world. Now imagine what it is like to wake up at dawn and witness that kind of decimation and destruction. Now, even further, imagine the pressure of knowing, first hand, that you, personally, were the one who caused it, that you were responsible for killing everyone you've ever known, and millions of others as the retaliatory strikes came, spelling the end of the world as you know it...

She couldn't handle it. She collapsed in tears, her mind doing what it could to forget.

Enter the heroes from out of Time and Space to remove her from the nightmare, to be her new friends and support, and aid her with her abilities so she can help others instead of causing widespread harm.

What is the secret behind her nuclear powers? What caused her initial detonation? She certainly can't remember.
