Oswald "Wally" Jenkins was once a careless custodian at a toy factory who had the misfortune of falling into a vat labelled "transmogrifying" plastic. This plastic brought him back to life as a malleable being, and he decided to form himself a new "superhero" body. However, the plastic was also being used in a villainous plot to produce dangerous living action figures of area superbeings. While he tried to contain the microcosm of supervillainy to the warehouse, once the miniature forces of evil escaped, he soon stumbled upon the Summit Alliance, and requested their help.

Unsure of a name, he thought of perhaps calling himself Captain Elastic, Mister Malleable, The Randomiser, or maybe even Plastic Ma-... HOWEVER, a television reporter, upon seeing the symbol he wore, instead labelled him "Splatman", and the name has stuck with our pliable protector ever since.

And no, he does not, nor has he ever, worked for Cingular wireless. His color scheme is meant to invoke those similarly hued plastic runners that every model kit part seemed to be attached to back in the day.

Personality-wise, he's an inexperienced, naive hero, with a tendency to think out loud. His carelessness and clumsiness has carried on somewhat into his hero persona, but he is learning.

Power-wise, he's basically Plastic Man, complete with maintaining the same colors regardless of shape. Each new shift is generally accompanied by a "SPLICK!" sound effect. He appears to be vulnerable to certain solvents. One unique power he possesses however, is the ability to temporarily randomise/change a target's powers with a touch. He rarely uses this due to its unpredictability and the fact that everything around him tends to be strange enough as it is.
