Kimberly Knack was a talented, aspiring dance student with dreams of studying at Juilliard. Unfortunately, due to her height, she was not accepted, and instead studied locally in Washington DC. This would change her life as one fateful day, as she continued to practice, a super powered battle in the nation’s capitol between Statesman and the criminal Radiostar crashed into the school's dance studio, causing Kim to be exposed to the radioactive element the villain was attempting to steal. The outspoken, determined Kim struck and distracted Radiostar with a broken dance rail. She then appeared to glitch as his return attack passed through her and caused her to temporarily blind him with brilliant white light, which gave Statesman the upper hand. Statesman saw to it that the US Government compensated and looked after Kimberly, and later offered her training and a place as a hero upon the Guardstar team.

Abilities: Kimberly is able to become, manipulate, and control certain portions of the light and electromagnetic spectrum. This allows her to shift into an intangible form, create lasers, and produce holographic illusions utilising magnetic dust particles. Combined with an eidetic memory, she is capable of displaying visual footage of anything she’s ever seen. She commonly shifts light in order to see around objects or corners, into the infrared, or ultraviolet spectrums, become invisible, or for various other effects. Strong magnetic fields will disrupt some aspects of her power, sometimes leaving her only access to basic, visible, white light. She is a fit, flexible, highly trained, and accomplished dancer and choreographer, and has since had extensive self defense training as part of her Guardstar regimen
