Description Acrylic on canvas, 11x13"
Inspired by Nestor's "Night, 'Poem of the Atlantic'" ( moniquespassions.com/wp-conten… )

Two seadragons, seeking their favorite prey: Wooden seafaring vessels. If fire-breathing sea creatures seems unlikely to you, then you can think of it as two regular dragons out for a night swim.

The differences in anatomy between the two dragons is intentional sexual dimorphism: One is male and one is female (but which is which!?).

This is my first attempt at painting moonlight, and also at painting waves, and also at painting dragons, AND also at painting something imaginary using an imagined light source. I think it came out quite well, and I feel like I learned a lot from the attempt.
I need to practice painting realistic water, though.

Harsh criticism is welcome!
