Description This is a very very special watercolor painting, I had no idea when I started to paint this morning just what it would come to mean to me. Today is my birthday, nothing special there, but today is also the day that my beautiful loving mother has passed away, so this painting is in honor of her, the photo I used for a reference is of the day lilies my son gave to me on Mothers day.

Thank you Gus. I'm doing ok, though I do get a wash of sadness now and again, it's really hard to believe that my mom is gone. She went very peacefully so that is such a blessing to me, I would have hated to see her struggling. She is with the Lord now so that brings such peace to me even though I miss her like crazy. I'm really happy that I could dedicate my first painting of "09" to her. Loves ya my friend.

Thank you Violet. It's really hard to believe she's been gone for a week now, but I'm doing good, every once in a while I get a glich of sadness, but that will pass, even though I will always miss her.

I am so sorry you have lost your mom. No matter how old they were or how sick they were or how you told yourself you were ready for it & it was for the better (esp. when they are in pain), it still hurts.

Thank you so much Gloria, I only found out a couple of hours ago, it seems so unreal, I don't quite know what to do, she passed away very peacefully and I know that she is with the Lord as I write this, and even with that knowledge it still hurts, I think it's going to be a very long night tonight, in the morning we will make the 4 hour drive to mom and dads. Thank you so much again.
