as breathing each breath
feels like flames
scorching your lungs.
Exhilirating.
Weakening.
Beautiful.
A measly flame in place of where your soul used to be;
ablaze with passion and disgrace.
Until eventually,
Embers remain.
Hopeful foolish
close their eyes
and pray..
That their embers not be put out by the other.
