Description The flickering gaslight lamps gave an eerie glow to the fight ring, where the brawler stood, bloody and triumphant....

These heavy-duty cufflinks are made from two antique fusee' gear mechanisms from key-wound pocket watches dating to the late 1700s. They are soldered onto brass cufflink hardware, and each features an antique brass flywheel on the top. Due to the source of these pieces, no two are the same, so they do not match exactly. They are 19mm and 18mm each in diameter, and sit 7mm and 6mm tall, respectively (not including cufflink hardware).

The gear mechanisms are still intact, and you can twist the face clockwise, listening to the gears click and turn inside.

The apparent injury to the clockwork parts is due to their 200+ years of operation in pocket watches. Though slightly battered, these beautiful pieces live on as very serviceable cufflinks, which will undoubtedly draw attention at any event.
