This is my pet Blue Crayfish, Juliet. I've had her about six months now, I think. I got her and O'Doyle as a gift from my mother. O'Doyle was given to my aunt and Juliet became my favorite ever
She's a good little crayfish! Although, I tell her that she's a lobster. It makes her feel important ;3 (That and they are a large breed of crayfish that are often called 'freshwater lobsters', even though there is no such thing.)

Aw, the cuteness! She looks like she's posing for the picture. Shame she's behind glass, otherwise she'd be sharper. But then... wouldn't she also be dead? x.X

They can live out of the water for a period of time. As long as their gills stay moist, they can come out on land. I know that her counterpart, O'Doyle, used to get loose from his tank (they are especially good at climbing) and walk around the kitchen for an hour before anyone came in to see him.
They're smart little pets. I was surprised, pleasantly ;3
