Heh. In the "Expanded Universe" there's a certain group of feared assassins who specialize in hunting Jedi. They're greatly feared by the Jedi for this reason, because they use solid-projectile weapons (which unlike lasers can't be deflected by lightsabers).

That's right: AK-47 > Jedi. It's good for them that we don't have space travel, or we'd conquer their sad little galaxy in about three weeks.

Load of happy horseapples, m'boy.

Nearly every jedi in the galaxy got gunned down in ONE DAY by vat-grown clones. Before that they fell by the dozens.
And Darth Vader--- who'd spent one lifetime as a Jedi warrior and another lifetime as a Sith lord--- got dusted by a rookie who'd had, what, a month's training on Dagobah?

There is a reason why nobody ever thinks about it: Jedi & Sith both use the Force to detect threats and other events before they happen. Which is how they use relatively slow, organic muscles (or similarly slow cybernetic actuators) to move a lightsaber into the path of a blaster shot that is inbound at lightspeed. Parrying other lightsaber attacks should be comparitively easy.

Either one would, through the Force, discern the explosives for what they are, and either duck the throw, or else use Force-telekinesis to re-address the "bundle o'boom" as "return to sender". Which is why, in "Clone Wars", the droid soldiers never launch grenades at Jedi ("Oh joy, they are returning our grenades to us").
