Sketch from last night. *sigh* I still say I wish these two should have been a thing. It's a crime that they had so little interaction with each other, to be honest. At the very least, they would have made fantastic friends. The more I think about them as characters and the more I poke around on the internet to analyze their characteristics (such as MBTI, zodiac signs, etc), the more I realize that they are, in fact a "golden pair", with both of them being introverts, having similar backgrounds, and also complementing each other in personality. One bringing the other out of his shell, while the latter would bring understanding and acceptance, making her feel at ease with being different. There would also be deep trust and honesty in their relationship, be it friends or more; each bringing their unique perspective to the table, to help each other understand themselves and the world better. "A love that could never be" doesn't apply only to Aerith and Cloud, but to Aerith and everyone else.Slight re-imagining of Aerith's outfit, inspired by the white mage costume (also because red suits her).

Cute, even though I don't ship this couple. After doing some research, I think this couple would do better than AerithxCloud zodiac wise. I mean, Cloud's a leo and Vincent's a Libra, Aerith would do better with vincent since she's an aquarius. Also, Vincent would love aerith since she brings a strong resemble to Lucrecia. Pretty cute drawing though, reminds me of christmas a little bit.

I agree. Looking at their signs, they would make ideal partners for each other (romantic or platonic), because there's an understanding there which would allow them both to flourish and open up and be themselves. As a libran myself, I get along exceptionally well with aquarians.
I've read up quite a bit on the MBTI as well, and established that Vincent is a clear INTP (like me), while Aerith is argued to be an INFJ (she's a stereotypical INFJ if you ask me). Interestingly, INTP and INFJ are considered to be "the golden pair", because they bring out the best in each other.
It might well be that Vincent has a "thing" for brunettes, but Aerith's resemblence to Lucrecia is no disadvantage for her, I have to admit. I suppose they look alike because originally Sephiroth and Aerith (interesting that both of their names include E, I, R and end in 'th') were planned to be siblings, which was later changed, so it's safe to assume that Lucrecia was supposed to be Aerith's mother, hence the similarities. Just my theory.

Oh. MBTI is short for Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, more or less invented by the psychologist Carl Jung in the 60's. According to the MBTI there are 16 personality types, each determined by a set of cognitive functions (how a person perceives and experiences the world, their behaviour, etc). INTP stands for Introverted iNtuitive Thinking Perceiving. INFJ is Introverted iNtuitive Feeling Judging. Look it up, it's worth it. It taught me a lot about myself, so it's a great tool in understanding oneself better.
