Born on Titan (the sixth orbiting moon of Saturn) with the Deviant gene, Thanos was considered as a 'mutant' among his own kind. He developed a purple skin along with strength and other abilities far surpassing the others of Titan.
Thanos has the capacity to synthesize cosmic energy for certain personal uses. He has increased his powers through bionic amplification, mystical enhancement, and as a result of being resurrected by Death itself!
