Hiya

A very eye catching piece that has a far more painterly feel to it than some of your other work, which seems to be more comic orientated.
I really like both styles and it is cool to see you experimenting with different techniques.

I really feel the color palette works well to establish the time of day and set the mood. Keeping your colors simple allows for a very quick and clear read. You have introduced some warmer tones on the figure via the rim lighting.
I feel a little more of that light striking her face could have reinforced that focal point a bit more. Maybe also adding a little lighter color the the garmets where that light falls off.

The composition is cool. The face looking 'back' infers a struggle/tension and you have used the spears well to assist in moving the eye around the piece.

I do feel that some of the values need to be lightened in the BG. This will help to create some depth to the piece and really allow your main character to advance.

The drawing overall looks pretty solid. You have captured the motion and sense of action quite well. The main figure does feel a little cramped though. I'd almost like to see her head moving past the top border. It might be the arm that feels a bit short?

Overall a very cool piece, well done e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=" (Smile)"/>

Hey thanks for taking the time to critique.  I agree with you on almost every point.  You brought up some very solid points about the lighting and the feeling of depth needing to be punched up.  Thanks again, very useful information.
