I have mixed feelings about the fanmovie's Robotnik. Compared to this other dude's Mega Man movie, Robotnik beats the pants offa Wily, but it feels like it's just recycling a similar concept from the Mega Man movie; that whole "robots ruling" and other stuff like that.
It was interesting, but the concept feels tired and overdone so it was hard to enjoy the movie on its own merits.

But then, they always had something in common. And how do you make an army of baddies that are appropriate for children to slaughter mercilessly? Robots. Or at least some putti or faceless storm trooper or nasty no good orc. It's what they had back then. When people were coming up with ideas, if you were the first, people often went off your idea. I think Robotnik has more potential as a villain.

Interesting take on robotnik, I don't think I remember him being totally bald but I really like the more realistic approach you took to drawing him, nice work!

This was a very neat portrayal of Robotnik. They kept the inspiration of the original and brought the personality from SatAm. Mustache should have been more realistic, but it was still very neat. Also, I didn't like his reaction to the emerald. Should have been more maniacal then "about to cry."

It looked more like "about to orgasm" than "about to cry". Which is just disturbing. In a good-ish terrifying what-the-fuck sort of way.

The mustache would not have been very realistic... But they could have done something of decent length. That is one of my few complaints. One of the things I know they could have fixed.

Throughout history we had dictators with unique styles of facial folicales.
Robotnik has no right to imprison the innocent who are against him, no right to conquer lands that do not belong to him, no right to take over the world.
But he has every right as a dictator to style his mustache anyway he wishes. 'cus thats what evil dictators are known for and as conquerer no one other than those who fight him makes fun of his facial fluff.
This is why I believe Dr. Eggman has such a slapstick mustache.

In the games and EVERY OTHER place in the media he's been in he's had the classic giant 'stache. They could've at least had it go to the sides of his face and make it a little smaller, but still....

I though that the moustache he had in the film could've at least been the same as Teddy Roosevelt's moustache. I mean, the character was modled after him in the first place, and hell, the actor looked like Roosevelt already. I mean, I thought he looked cool regardless, but the stache could have been played up a tad bit more.
