Lol my searches told me that, the name livercheese likely came from an older etymology or something where the words meant something else, but since it was called that for so long, they just kept the name.

well i have no idea myself so i can't say if thats correct xD
I just know its a wieldly know food in bavaria-germany actually called "Leberkäse"(livercheese) or "Fleischkäse" (meatcheese)
And since you usually eat it a warm slice of it on a bun i thpught there might the cheese part come from (like its a topping)
the liver part though is strange cause there was never liver in it from begin with...german words are strange |D
even though we are quite simple with naming most things:
plane = fly thing
lighter = fire thing
diarrhea = fall trough
glove = hand shoe
vacuum cleaner = dust sucker
floodlight = glow thrower
dump but beautiful xD
some are a bit more complicated constructed but most of them come from random sayings
so you just get used to strange german words |D
also we constantly invent new ones since its allowed to just stick to nouns together and it counts as a new word.
there was this one fun game in grade shool where you just compeated to make the longest word possible by adding a noun.
there even was an actual law called : Rindfleischetikettierungsüberwachungsaufgabenübertragungsgesetz pronunciation(with a little accent it seems)

it means : law for the transfer of the surveillance chores for the labelling of beaf

the strangest things in germany i know (there aren't laws but happend to go trough at court)
if a dog of an Inn owner steels someone the fake teeth and burrys them outside he has to pay for it himself
it is allowed to drive a car naked but you are not to leave it without clothes on
also nice: Even if the sex isn't good the partner isn't allowed to show any sign of boredom orunwillingness
also a law without reson: if you die during a buisness trip the buisness trip is officially finsihed
