your limited to what you do with actrylics because when you apply it on the canvas, the paint cant really be manupulated and when it dries its a very chalky finish, BUT saying that you can mix acrylics with a little bit of varnish or charcoal etc, all i can say is experiment with the medium before y ou create your work!!, im actually starting to use more oils and doing less acrylics
