My Cicero drawing. Clearly still very unfinished, but I got bored. Also, I feel I already drew the most interesting parts; the face. Drawing the hair of a Roman bust is far less interesting than drawing the actual face. For anyone who doesn't know, Marcus Tullius Cicero was an influential statesman, politician, orator, attorney, and writer during the late Roman Republic. A contemporary of Julius Caesar, he was eventually assassinated by Caesar's nephew/heir as he consolidated his control of the state.
The system of shorthand supposedly developed by him allowed speeches, trials, political debates to be recorded verbatim. First time in history. And that shorthand is still somewhat in use today. Even modern English has remnants of his shorthand system: etc., I.E., E.G., & all originated with him. Do yourself a favor, read about him. Anyway, sorry to ramble. I know nobody on here cares about such things. Drawn with Micron pens.
