I have to say after reading the Railgun version of the Sister's Arc it easily became my favorite arc in the entire series. You really got to see Mikoto's side of things which allowed you to appreciate how much she went through to try and save the Sisters, an impact that couldn't be achieved through Index's short summary of those events. The above scene perhaps defined how heroic Touma coming to save Mikoto truly was and makes it more than understandable how Mikoto fell head over heels for him. Certainly a paramount emotional moment that none of the other girls in the Index universe swooning over Touma can compare to.
