1st of 2014! <3I was cleaning up my workspace yesterday when i saw this sketch I made last year of a geisha. Thought I'd draw her again. Guess I've improved a bit?

When I look into her eyes I see a young woman who had been kept from a lot of things for so many years of her life.Β For a long time she was always working hard, she never really was able to have friends and go out to have a good time.Β But in this picture, it has the feel to like some people that knew her and liked her pooled some money together to throw her a really good party.Β It is in this party that people did a really good job at making it cultural, they brought food and games.Β But during the party they especially made sure to make her feel included.
So now there she is enjoying herself.Β In that picture it has the feel to it like she's a little tired from taking a lot in, she alsoΒ feels at ease and appreciated.Β She may even feel a little touched and vindicated.Β Either way she's feeling a number of good things at once which are good, which is why there are a number of colors to what she's wearing.Β
I like how there are a number of colors to this picture, but I'm not wishing that I had TV remote control to tone down the color.Β Although you usedΒ a lot of colors, it's still moderate and balanced.Β I love her facial expression, the look in her eyes, and how you allowed it to have that canvas look.Β Very Great Work!Β Β Β Β Β Β

I'll comment more on this photo later.Β But if you went to Mexico and had consistency in illustrating Japanese culture like the above picture, you would get a good number of Mexicans to be Japanese on the side.Β I'm not drunk or kidding!Β

I love the blue tint in her hair. The way you've managed to blend the different colours together and yet they're somehow distinguishable made this a very interesting and eye-catching piece. It makes me want to watch you in action and watch your works unfold in front of my eyes!

I like how the eyes feel more alive compared the 2013 version, although they seem similarly colourful this looks more more vibrant and her posture is much more natural. Loved the details on her headress
