Alma had sent one of the older wynglings in the nook to fetch Russel with urgency. It was a race against the clock to unveil the cloak of this thing before it lashed out and caused more harm. News of trouble in the nook spread fast as the scared children hid in their dorms and under their covers. Older wynglings who have begun to see repeated visits to the nook for nearly identical cases reassured those who were scared. Alma, who had stayed up all night fending off the parasite, waited with bated breath for Russel to come in through the door.

The creature opposite to Alma had grown desperate to outright destructive. Pulling at its ears with fits of throwing toys and books around. It repeatedly tried to either get to the two wynglings she protected or trying to leave the room to find other victims.
Exhaustion had wrecked the two children, leaving them sleeping through the night; but if they had witnessed the long night's events, then they would have realized that their friend was not a Noc nor a creature to love and dote on.

Finally, a knock at the door had relieved Alma. She put both the children comfortably in the middle of the bed, allowing them to sleep further. Sitting up, she glared at the monster in the room, not daring to break eye contact as she strode to the door to unlock it and allow the gro on the other side to come in.

Russel, with a small cage on his back and a sour expression, made his way into the room, the door closing behind him. Only a moment's glance could confirm what was already told of him: A nocoff. Shouldering off the small cage with ease, he began to approach the spite with a growl growing at the back of his throat.
The nocoff, sensing danger, looked for an escape. The door, blocked; the window, locked; forward, certain death; the bed. The bed, it leaped to the bed where the two girls were. The last bits of its disguise sloughing off as it lorded itself over the two wynglings, causing both the adults to freeze. There was danger in the air.

But as the sun showed its morning light through the window, the sands of sleep swept itself from Swarmy, whose eyes squinted open, then wide awake she screamed at the sight of the spite. The screams of Swarmy pulled Woe out of her sleep and leaving her to scream in reaction at the same sight. Reactively, Woe kicked the spite off the bed and into the reachable range of Russel who quickly caged it.

The nightmare was finally over. It took a few days for both of the wynglings to become fully healthy again from the spite exposure. Both had been reprimanded for bringing a spite within the nook's walls, but Alma was overall relieved that nothing worse had happed. Finally, the two wynglings could play and meet up with their friends again, resuming their life as before. But the event will stick with them forever.

The finale! This was super fun to see to the end! Gonna be doing one more quest with Woe then onto Meran! Once I get to a stopping point with him, im finally gonna focus on Veri the brat.
