Description Look guys, I changed my mind again for the event! *dies*
Anywho, I tried a lot of new things here, so I'm not sure how that's going to work out. I tried coloured line-art, and I think it looks pretty good. Black line art just looked too much out of place with the background.

Rose tried her hand at fishing. Needless to say, it didn't go very well. XP

~~~~~~
I have no idea how this tournament thing worked down to every detail, so I'm making some stuff up. Bear with me here.
Rose looked around at the many cats who had gathered that day. Most seemed to be from the clans, but a few she recognized from The Cause as well. As the clan leaders called out the opponents, Rose twitched her tail nervously. "What if I am put against a cat who is a much better hunter than I am?" She fretted. Hunting wasn't exactly her strong point. In fact, it was far from it. Battle was her strongest physical trait, and the first round of the challenge wasn't anything like that.
"Rose vs. Ratsong." She heard the leader call out. Pricking her ears, she nervously stood up and walked to the front, scouring the crowd for the warrior she was up against. There! Standing next to the Great Rock was a lone scarred grey she-cat. Taking up her place next to her opponent, Rose sat down again. The cat looked like she had seen many battles, and didn't seem like the friendliest of cats. Judging by her long legs and lean figure, the cat she was up against would be a good hunter. "Great." Rose thought, "Just what I need."
Soon the cats who wanted to participate were organized, and the clearing quieted down to only a few murmurs. The large orange tom gave a short speech and announced the beginning of the tournament. Before she could even blink, cats began to swarm out of the clearing. The sheer amount of cats covered the entire ground, and Rose had to close her eyes to keep herself from getting dizzy. When she opened them again, most of the cats were gone into the bushes, only a few stragglers like herself were left behind. Standing up, Rose began to head towards her most familiar hunting grounds: the moors.
As the young she-cat headed towards the moors, she noticed how many cats were hunting in the forest around the Fourtrees. It was a place with plenty of prey, but it was rather crowded with all the cats, and it didn't seem like the most comfortable place to hunt. Looking out in the direction of her usual hunting grounds, she began to realize how far away they actually were. Most cats would be finished hunting by the time she had even reached the barn.
"Alright, if I can't hunt there, I'll at least find myself some place with less trees." She murmured to herself, turning around to face a less forested part of the territory. Soon enough she found herself in a thinner part of the forest where the raging river could be heard faintly. Tasting the air, she tried to locate a piece of prey. The soft noise of a bird landing in a bush could be heard to her left, towards the river. "Perfect." She thought, licking her whiskers. Slowly she began to creep towards the bird, not moving her eyes from the creature. Snap. A twig cracked beneath her paws, and the bird took off.
"No!" Rose yowled, pelting after the creature. She was already behind the other cats in the competition and she couldn't bear to waste any more time. As she ran, leaves and branches whipped at her face and shoulders, forcing her to nearly close her eyes so they wouldn't be poked out of her skull. With a final leap, she reached out for the bird. It was all down to this jump. It was win or lose, catch or miss. The outcome, not to her surprise, was a miss.
"Stupid bird." She hissed, landing with a hard thump. "I never really liked them anyways. Too many feathers."
Looking around, Rose realized that she was right next to the river, though at a more shallower, quieter part. Some of the RiverClan cats could be seen in the distance fishing for their catch. Fishing. "Why don't I try fishing?" She thought, "Because you have no idea how to." She told herself.
"It's a silly idea." She meowed. Somehow, though, she found herself wandering over to the water's edge and looking into the swirling water below. Suddenly two flashes of sliver appeared before her. "Ahh, what do I do?" She thought frantically, searching her brain for any scrap of knowledge she would know about fishing. She had seen RiverClan cats scoop them out with their paws, so that's what she tried. Sitting back on her haunches, she leaned forwards to grab one of the fish. Instead of finding herself sitting on the ground, a fish in her paws, she found herself submerged in water up to her elbows, standing on top of a squirming fish.
"I caught one!" She joyfully exclaimed. "I actually caught one!" A few of the RiverClan warriors looked up at her with displeased looks, and a cat inland yelled at her to keep her voice down.
"Sorry!" She yelled back before looking down at her still-squirming catch.
"Now what do I do?" She said to herself, watching the fish in awe. "Get it back on land. That's what I'll do." Hesitantly she submerged her head under the cool water and made to grab the fish in her jaws. Her mouth closed around water the first time, and a mouthful of mud the second. Lifting her head up again, Rose gasped for breath. Water distorted the fish's image, making it near impossible to pick it up in the right spot.
"One more try." She told the struggling fish, and submerged her head once more. Thankfully, this time her jaws closed around the flopping fish. Rose lifted the fish up and threw it onto the grass beside the river.
"I did it." She meowed, grinning. What a story she would be able to tell when she got back to The Cause!
She heard a rustling noise in the bushes and sharply looked up. A familiar scarred grey pelt flashed by. It was her opponent, Ratsong. "I wonder how she's doing in the tournament...." Rose thought, her mind wandering for a moment. "Right! I'd better bury my fish and come back for it later." She thought, turning to pick up her catch. To her shock, the fish, that had once been there a moment ago, was gone.
"What! Where's my fish?" She screeched, frantically looking around for the creature. She quickly spotted it, gasping for air and flopping towards the river.
"Don't you dare escape from me now!" She yowled at the fish, bounding towards it. "You're not getting away from me!" "Oh dear I do hope I don't get outrun by a fish." She worried, trying to reach the creature before it fell back into the river and was swept away. She reached out with her claws, ready to claim her catch.
Rose's feet suddenly slipped out from under her, and she was only able to just reach a paw under the escaping fish. Not sure what to do with it while she was lying face-down on the ground, she tossed the fish in the air, aiming to land behind her. Standing up, she shook out her soaking, grass-covered pelt. "At least I have my fish." She meowed, turning around, expecting to see the prey lying on the ground, stunned. Instead, all she saw was the grass and the forest behind her.
"What?" She screeched. "Where has it gone off to now?" She turned to face the river, where she saw a rather amused looking RiverClan cat watching her.
"Go back to hunting," She growled, and turned away to look for her fish.
Drip.
Drip.
Drip.
Three cold drops of water landed on Rose's head and ran down her spine before she stepped out of the way. Shivering, she looked to the sky. It surely couldn't be raining, there was hardly a cloud above her. Turning around in a full circle, she searched for the cause of the dripping water. That was when she saw it, laying in the tree, still twitching, was her fish.
Rose sighed. What a day.
If anyone actually read all that, I applaud you.
